Abby Horlacher

I am from Frankfort, Indiana where I own Nickel Plate Consulting. I have been a part of the Amplify Organization for 3 years now. I started working under Brookside/Amplify organization in 2017. During this time, I gained knowledge on soil fertility and scouting. In August 2020 I decided to start my own business.

I grew up on a 1,100-acre grain farm where my Saturday mornings consisted of going to the farm with my father, 3 siblings, Grandpa, and Uncle. My family bleeds black and gold, I was going to Purdue University, just had to figure out what I would be studying. I found my passion to be agronomy and before you knew it, I was graduating in 2017 and found my first job at Greene Crop Consulting. In 2018 I married Kyle. We currently reside on his family’s farm and get to enjoy farming every day. In the fall of 2020, I graduated from Iowa State University with my Masters in Agronomy. While with Greene Crop Consulting, I fell in love with the lab and consultant organization. It reminded me of being a part of a team, everyone trying to help and better each other. This is when I decided to start my own business to allow myself to grow.

My first passion is family, when I am not working you will find me out with my family. From weekend work around our farm or garden, out at the farmers market, or family vacations; family is at the center of my heart.

I am always willing to learn. I find my strengths to be in corn, soybeans, wheat, and scouting. If I don’t know the answer, I will direct you to the person that does.
