Randy Darr

I am from Shipman, Illinois where I own and operate Soil – Right Consulting Services, Inc. I have been with the organization since 1986, where I have found my strengths to be combining economics with production helping our clients improve their economic position, while enhancing soil health and controlling their resources.

I grew up on a farm in southern Illinois raising cattle, hogs, chickens, you name it. We grew crops of corn, soybeans, wheat, alfalfa, and milo. A true traditional 1970’s and 80’s farm.

I graduated in 1986 with my bachelor’s degree in agriculture education from Western Illinois University and started Soil-Right in October of that year. I was chosen as one of the National Alliances of Independent Crop Consultants, “Crop Consultants of the Year: in 1997”

In 2011, I finished course work and received a Master in Business Administration from Missouri Baptist University.

Today at Soil-Right, we work across the central and western corn belt.

I became a John Maxwell Team certified leadership trainer in 2016 giving me the ability to provide leadership and personal growth training to individuals and companies.

I served for 9 years as a member of the Brookside Laboratories Board of Directors.

I serve in various local capacities as Township Supervisor, President of the Southwestern Farm and Home Museum, Chairman of the Board of the Central Macoupin Rural Water District, and member of the Shipman Picnic Association Board of Directors.

I also served at Emmanuel Baptist Church as a Deacon, Discipleship Training director and adult Bible Study instructor.

My wife Deborah and I were married in 1987 and have 4 children and soon to be 8 grandchildren.
